Hawthorne Berry, also called White Thorn, Haw, May Blossom, Hay Berry and May Day Flower. Hawthorne Berry is red in color and comes from a spiny tree called the hawthorne shrub. Hawthorne Berry is believed to be good for the heart and is commonly used to expell excess salt from the body to reduce water retention. Hawthorn Berries contain vitamins C and B complex, crataegin, carotene, flavonoids and sugars.

Idebenone is a commercially promoted synthetic analog of coenzyme. It is an organic compound of the quinine family. Idebenone is said to have similar antioxidant properties like the coenzyme. In Europe, idebenone is used as a synthetic analog of coenzyme to treat vascular as well as degenerative diseases of the central nervous system. There is an on going research done on the usage of idebenone to cure Alzheimer’s disease. Research also shows that idebenone may also be beneficial for those suffering from Friedreich's ataxia. In the research conducted on patients of Friedreich’s ataxia, idebenone helped in reducing the rate of deterioration of cardia function. It helped in doing but without halting the progression of ataxia. Another successful use of idebenone has been in the topical application of the treatment of wrinkles.

Saw Palmetto , also known as Serenoa repens, which is the only species from the genus Serenoa in the Arecaceae family. Arecaceae are actually all palm trees and Saw Palmetto is no exception. It is a smaller version of a palm tree with heights that do not surpass four meters. It is believed to be native to southeast of the United States, the oldest plants found in Florida with almost 700 years of age. The berry-like fruits are rich in fatty acids and plant sterols and Saw Palmetto extract has been often used for treatment of urinary tract problems, mainly infections. Some other applications related to cholesterol have been evaluated, but no indications were proven. Treatment against benign prostatic hyperplasia is currently under evaluation, whereby initial data was encouraging, but methodological research data contradictory.
