Cissus Quadrangularis is a plant belonging to the grape family Vitaceae. The plants of the family are characterized by the presence of climbing stems and characteristic fruit borne in bunches called grapes. The family has many species of the genus Cissus but Cissus quadrangualris is important in that extensive research has been done on the medicinal properties of its fruit.
